Our 3rd Wedding Anniversary...

Nothing quite like spending a wedding anny driving from New Castle to Surrey. Everything went fine until we hit the London area. Then there was traffic. Only took us an hour extra tho, so that wasn't too bad. :) But after 6 hours or so in the car today, both J & I feel pretty good about driving on the "wrong" side of the road. Altho we learned that petrol is quite a bit more expensive than gas. In fact, our first estimate said it was about 2x as much. But the UK gallon is different than the US gallon... so we're still working it out. But the trip from Aberdeen ran us about $180 or so. But still cheaper than a train! I think... oh well.

Anyway. Not much more to report, except we made it to London, finally. Our hotel room is tiny, but it's all we need anyway. We had some dinner and wine to celebrate our 3rd year of marriage, found our internet cafe, and are now planning on crashing. We'll start our touring tomorrow.

So we finally found a computer w/ a working USB port, so I'll just finish by posting a bunch of pics!
Picture one, a somewhat blurry shot of New Castle, from our whole 12 hours spent there.
Picture two, J with my beer in his hand... he hadn't actually had any yet...
Picture 3, me trying to decide what dessert I wanted. Very hard decision!
Picture 4, a van we followed for a while on the M1 on the way to Surrey. Really creepy! And yes, it was raining.

CHEERS!
