Driving to New Castle

So the drive from Cults to New Castle was only about 5 hours, not bad! No hold ups or traffic and no accidents! I think there was only one time I tried to turn onto the wrong side of the street... we are having a bit of an issue using our credit card everywhere as it does not have "the chip". But no worries. I'm sure we won't have as big of an issue in London.

The drive here was beautiful. We still haven't found a place to upload pictures, we'll work on that in London, b/c we have a lot of great shots! But today was really just a car day. Lots of highway or "motorway" driving. After the initial excitment of a big drive wore off, we got a bit bored. And could not find a decent radio station! So a pretty quiet drive as well. But J's GPS map is soooooo nice. We drove straight to the hotel in New Castle with no issues! And it's a much larger city than we were expecting! And after the first few round-abouts, they're all more or less the same. I did drive thru one that was about the size of the one Homer got stuck in. But I didn't get stuck. The traffic rules are much more lax here. And the parking is insane! As long as there isn't a double yellow line, you can park there. In either direction. Very odd. Also makes it a bit harder to remember what side of the road to drive on since the cars are parked both ways!

Anyway, we're off to dinner now. Walking down to the river as there is lots of good sightseeing and restaurants.
